A practical walk-through of PCD, ET, CB, J, width, concave and notes on an XBORUL drawing — so importers approve the SKU they meant to buy, not a spacer-dependent listing.
Most return cases we see are not “bad machining.” They are a drawing the buyer never fully read. A forged sample that looks right in a photo can still sit off the hub, hit a caliper, or sit too far out in the arch. This note is how XBORUL expects importers, brand PMs and shop buyers to read a drawing before they sign the MOQ 4 sample.
Direct answer
Treat the drawing as the contract. Confirm seven fields in writing: diameter × width, PCD, ET, CB, structure (1/2/3-piece), finish, and any caliper / lip notes. If one field is missing, we will not cut steel as if it were locked. Send the pack on Contact. The three numbers that stop most returns are explained in PCD, offset and center bore.
Who this is for
This is not a CAD tutorial. It is for the person who will put the SKU on a website, a dealer book or a container. If you buy from a factory, you should be able to point at a PDF and say “this is the wheel we are paying for.” XBORUL is a manufacturer and exporter — Sichuan Chengshihuanyu Trading Co., Ltd. on papers, XBORUL on the brand — not a multi-seller marketplace of unrelated listings.
The seven fields, in the order we check them
1. Diameter × width
Written as 20×9 or 20×10.5. Front and rear can differ on a staggered set. If your catalog photo is a 20×10.5 lip and the PO says 20×8.5, the photo is lying. Width also drives barrel choice on 2-piece programs.
2. PCD (bolt pattern)
Count × circle, e.g. 5×112, 6×139.7, 8×170. Two trucks with the same badge can ship different patterns by generation. Platform pages: BMW, Mercedes, Jeep, Toyota, F-150. Hub: Fitment.
3. ET (offset)
How far the mounting face sits from centerline. Stance catalogs run more aggressive ET than OEM-plus. A 10 mm ET change is a different SKU. Do not “fix” a wrong ET with spacers and still call it the same drawing.
4. CB (center bore)
Hub-centric fitment starts here. Rings can step a larger bore down to a hub. They cannot invent a smaller bore. Lock CB with PCD so the sample is hub-centric for the stated platform.
5. Structure
1-piece monoblock, 2-piece face + barrel, or 3-piece. Off-road beadlock is a different hardware story. See 1-piece vs 2-piece vs 3-piece and beadlock vs monoblock.
6. Finish and branding
Chrome, brushed, gloss/matte, two-tone, cap and carton marks. Finish is part of the drawing — finish note, private label branding.
7. Notes: concave, J, load, caliper
Concave depth, inner rim profile and “big brake” notes belong on the PDF, not in a WeChat voice message. If you run aftermarket calipers, send a photo with a ruler. More on that in concave and caliper clearance.
A drawing is not a product photo
Catalog photography can hide ET, CB and the inner barrel. Approve the PDF, then the sample, then the photo. The commercial path is sample (MOQ 4) to container. Typical sample lead time on agreed forged programs is about 15 business days.
Common mistakes
- Copying a retail listing’s size without checking CB
- Ordering “the same wheel” in a second PCD without a new drawing number
- Changing ET after sample and expecting the same SKU code
- Assuming 5×112 BMW and Mercedes share CB — they often do not. See 5×112 BMW vs Mercedes
What to send if you do not have a PDF yet
Vehicle year/model or the three numbers, diameter × width, quantity, finish, destination market. Incomplete RFQs are normal. We fill gaps before the sample slot. Typical reply within 3 hours during business hours — Get a Quote.

Worked example
A US importer wants a 20×9 / 20×10.5 staggered set for a 5×112 BMW book, brushed face, private-label cap, first sample then 40 pieces. The drawing must show two widths, one PCD, two ETs, one CB, 1-piece structure, brushed callout, cap color. If they later add Mercedes, that is a second CB/ET table — BMW vs Mercedes — not a footnote on the same PDF.
If they also want a trail SKU, that is a third drawing: ring yes/no, different packing. Off-road beadlock. Do not put trail hardware notes on the street monoblock PDF “for convenience.”
How XBORUL uses the PDF internally
Once you approve, the same file drives CNC, hub drill, finish and carton marks. Changing one number after sample means we re-issue the drawing number so bulk cannot silently drift. That is why the sample checklist starts with “match the drawing number.”
Warranty follows the approved drawing, not a later verbal ET. 5-year structural warranty.
FAQ
Can I approve from a photo only?
No. A photo hides CB and inner barrel. Photo is style; PDF is the SKU.
Can one drawing cover 5×112 and 5×120?
Not as one SKU. Shared face, two mounting callouts, two numbers — or two SKUs.
What if I only know the car, not ET?
Send year/model and a photo of a wheel that already fits. We propose ET; you still sign it.
Who signs?
Whoever will pay the bulk PO. Sales chat is not approval.
