Big brakes kill more samples than bad chrome. What photos, measurements and notes XBORUL needs so concave forged faces clear the caliper on the first MOQ 4.
A concave face that looks right in a studio will still fail if it kisses the caliper. Importers send mood boards. What we need is the brake. This is the photo and measurement pack that lets XBORUL quote a manufacturable inner profile the first time.
Direct answer
Send: vehicle + size, a photo of the caliper from the back of the wheel well, a ruler or known-length object, and whether the kit is OEM or aftermarket. We lock concave and inner barrel on the drawing before sample. Contact. How the PDF is built: drawing guide.
Why concave is a fitment field
Concave is not only a photo style. It moves mass and the inner spoke plane. Deep concave on a 19×8.5 with a large AMG or M caliper is a different inner than a shallow 19×8.5 OEM-plus. If you want the photo of a 3-inch concave on a car with a competition kit, say so on the RFQ — we may move to 2-piece, a different inner, or a no-go.
Structures: 1 / 2 / 3-piece. Street 5×112: BMW, Mercedes. EV: Tesla.
Photo pack that works (phone is enough)
- Caliper from behind, wheel off if you can
- Same shot with a tape or a credit card for scale
- Current wheel inner (if any) showing where it already clears
- Arch / fender if ET is aggressive
- The catalog photo you want to match — labeled as style, not as a promise
Do not send only a screenshot of a competitor product page. That hides the inner barrel.
What we do with those photos
We compare inner spoke, pad, and ET to the blank we will machine. If clearance is tight, we say so before you spend a sample slot. That is cheaper than a failed MOQ 4. After sample, use the checklist on a real hub, not a wooden stand only.
Related risks
- Wrong CB with a deep cap — PCD / ET / CB
- 2-piece hardware vs caliper hat
- Off-road inner vs beadlock ring — beadlock vs monoblock

Worked example
A stance shop sends a photo of a 20×11 concave on a car with a large aftermarket kit and asks for “the same but 5 mm more concave.” That 5 mm is inner spoke vs pad. Without a caliper photo we will not guess. With a photo we may keep the outer look and pull the inner, or we may say 2-piece. Guessing is how samples fail. 2-piece.
ET and concave together
Aggressive ET plus deep concave plus big brakes is three constraints. Name all three. If you only name concave, we will still ask for ET. PCD / ET / CB.
FAQ
Is a CAD caliper file better than a photo?
Yes if you have it. Most importers do not. A clear photo with scale is enough to start.
OEM brakes vs aftermarket?
Say which. Aftermarket kits vary by brand; “big brake” is not a size.
Will you guarantee clearance without a sample?
We will design to the photos. The sample on the real hub is still the approval. Checklist.
Track use?
Say so. Warranty and structure assumptions change. Warranty.
